Choose the right ramp
While our ramps are diverse, customizable, and portable it stills helps to select the right piece of equipment for the job. Take a look at a brief overview of some of our most popular ramps:

Dura-Ramp Mobile – Best for shipping yards where the ramp needs to be moved frequently to different platforms.
Dura-Ramp ST – because of the height extension capability the ST is perfect for warehouses with high docks or spaces that require a route to a higher level.

Use the features
Most of our portable ramps come with adjustable legs so you can match the height of your dock, trailer, or rail car. Make sure that you take the time to match the height perfectly. If the ramp is too high or too low this can be a safety hazard and slow down the loading/unloading process. People traveling up and down the ramp can trip if it is uneven. Similarly, forklifts will bounce up and down while transitioning which can cause the load they are carrying to shift and potentially fall off.
Make sure that you apply the safety chains that come with your Dura-Ramp. This will prevent the ramp from shifting during work. The chains will hold the ramp against their dock. Without this the ramp can slowly slide away from the dock creating a gap between the platform and ramp due to shifting weight.
